Joseph and I went to Coney Island often, For only a train ride, we went during the winter, summer, fall, and spring. People tend to rave about other beaches in NY, but I loved the quaintness and nostalgia of Coney Island. NY was great for sponsoring movies on the beach, fireworks, and the Coney Museum circus show related events. No matter what you say, be it that Coney Island is too Ghetto, or whatever, there has been nothing better for getting to the shore for a simple escape.
This video shows Joseph on a day when then the beach was so foggy, you could barely see the shore, I found it beautiful , a change from the norm. Brisk day, but we made it work.
