I am a people person. I love being around interesting people who exhibit uniqueness, personality, and color. I feel that I can capture a person’s personality through my lens, using light and angles. Also being an observationist, finding and honing into the part of a person that exhibits that light and an interesting trait–no matter who that person is. I use my camera as a tool, using the best light, position, and lens to exhibit an individual whose portrait displays an active moment in time where they truly shine.
To have a moment when you can see in abstract, outside the box of your normal perception, is a moment I cherish. These types of moments captured on film are few and far between. I hope to capture more conceptual images. It would be a blessing in my current space.
Nature is beautiful, and relaxing. I tend to appreciate a change of seasons, something I was fortunate to experience while living in New York. The landscape category can spread far and wide, I hope you enjoy what I’ve documented so far.
Motion has always appealed to me, and I’m learning by doing. As a visual medium, I capture moments, environments, and emotions. I hope to develop my “Artist In Studio” series over time, showcasing artists, their work, inspiration, as well as process.
Street Photography is my most favorite second to portraits. If I have my camera with me when I’m out, I can capture memories, especially if the environment is most interesting. I hope these photos tell a story about an instant where they appeared.
I sometimes see statues with changing expressions. There must be a word for that. The stills in this category are things I’ve noticed in environments I had my camera. Sheer connection to things that interest me, or sheer beauty in the moment is what I wanted to capture.
